This is a series that developed during my masters painting class exploring spiritual guidance through my own connection with animals. I chose to create large, cropped compositions, welcoming viewers to explore their own personal dialogues with these animal guides.

The moon is another important aspect of the piece; the moon is a powerful force that creates tides on numerous levels. Not just the oceanic tides, with which we are all familiar, but also earth, air, fire and blood tides; these lunar influences are a dynamic element in the Earth's ability to sustain life. Thus, the moon is an important part of our spirituality.

American Indians call the process of connecting with animal guides and other parts of creation as being ‘One with Nature’, which became the title of this series.
