About Zoe Fabian

Born in Addison, NY, Zoe Fabian furthered her artistic career through college. She graduated with a B.S. in Art Education, minor in painting, from Buffalo State College, and went on to complete her Master of Science in Education.

Fabian spent 3 years with AmeriCorps, providing direct and indirect services to youth and families in Buffalo. Throughout her service term, she taught arts programming in a variety of spaces: a community center, local library, and laundromat. In addition, Fabian participated in the Grant Street Global Voices Public Arts Initiative, helping to facilitate arts based programming in local schools.

Drawing on her AmeriCorps experience, Fabian's Master work explored Art and a Community:The Effects of Community-Based Arts Initiatives in a Low-Income Urban Neighborhood. She remains an active citizen outside her AmeriCorps service, seeking out opportunities to help her community grow and prosper.

Currently, Fabian is working as an art teacher in the Southern Tier of New York in addition to teaching painting classes for the Wine and Design Franchise.

Fabian draws inspiration from a variety of contemporary artists as well as the visual stimuli in her home and work environment. Fabian's work focuses on large areas of bright, flat color with highly stylized accents. Her work appears to be a reflection of her vibrant personality.
